Keyless Entry System
Keyless entry systems can be an excellent way to secure your rental property without having to use physical keys. These systems allow guests as well as tenants to access the property by using a code or their mobile phones. These systems can be combined with intercoms to allow video and audio communications. This provides people with multiple options to enter a building. Certain keyless entry systems make use of cloud-based technology that allows them to be controlled remotely. They also have more advanced features.
Keyless entry systems can be installed in any commercial or residential property. First, the hardware has to be installed at each entryway. The system is then set up and managed through central consoles or a smartphone app. The keyless entry systems market is expected to expand at an annual rate of 11.8% between 2016 and 2022 according to Technavio. The market's expansion is attributed to the growing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.
Many people are scared of being locked out of their homes and therefore keep a spare key in a secure place. However, this practice presents a serious security risk since criminals are aware of the places where keys are stored and can find them. To prevent this from happening, it's recommended to install an entry system that is keyless at your home. This will keep you from ever being locked out of your home again.
Transponder Chip
The transponder chip - also known as "chip key" is an electronic micro-chip built into the head of your car key, it's also one of the most crucial security layers in your car. The Key Lab "transponder" originates from the combination transmitter and responder. This is because, after the key is put into the ignition and it is turned to turn, the antenna in your car sends a burst radio frequency energy to a transponder chip. The chip responds by transmitting its unique identification code back to the antenna ring. The computer in the car examines the information and determines whether it is a valid or not.
The key must be a transponder key to start the car. If it's not, the vehicle will remain immobilized. The chip is protected by a polycarbonate coating that prevents it from being copied by mechanical keys that are used in regular use or copied by laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys at less than the price of dealerships for cars.
Transponder chips first began to become popular in the 1980's when GM introduced them in the Corvette. This technology drastically reduced the number of vehicle thefts by making hot-wiring obsolete. This is a brief explanation of how a chip key functions and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Immobiliser System
The engine immobiliser system (also called the anti-theft) is a vital aspect of your vehicle's security. When you connect the Smart Key or ignition switch into your car, the transponder in the key transmits a number of codes. The ECU checks that the code transmitted by the chip matches the one stored in it and then only allows the engine to start.
This is the principal way that your car's immobiliser prevents theft. If the code inside the chip doesn't match the code in the chip, the ECU stops the flow of current to the fuel pump relay and the injection system, which prevents the engine from starting. The immobiliser might also disable the starter motor or ignition coil to stop the engine from being started by force.
Unfortunately, the system is not impervious to hacks. Thieves can crack the code that allows you to unlock the car's immobiliser system, and then start it. However, the latest versions of these systems feature a an extended cryptographic sequence which will be more difficult to deduce.
Car immobilisers are required from 1998, but a lot of cars had rudimentary immobilisers even before then. Although immobilisers make it harder to steal a vehicle it does not stop thieves from towing your car away or breaking in to steal your belongings.
Key Replacement

If you lose your key fob or remote, it can be a hassle and very expensive. A locksmith will need to gain access to the vehicle to decode the VIN or run it and then reprogram the replacement key to erase all previous signatures on the computer for all keys that were stolen, lost or damaged.
The cost of replacing a key will be more expensive if the car includes a transponder, or an integrated security chip. These chips transmit signals to the car that confirms your identity as the driver and allows the doors to open and the engine to start. The cost for a smart key replacement is $160.
ABUS strongly recommends that you register your key code within a few days of purchase to allow you to easily purchase additional keys or spare keys in the future.
